“A woman is like a tea bag: you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Through the last few weeks, I’ve been hit with things that I never thought I would get hit with. Some of these things would normally break people, but I somehow found the strength to persevere. The things that I have encountered and the things that have happened to me, I once thought would break me completely if they ever occurred, but instead I found myself in the strongest state that I had ever been in. By leaning on God, I was surprisingly able to get through, as some would say, effortlessly. Therefore, proving the quote above. I would have never guessed my strength could be on the level that it has recently been on. Realizing this, I find myself thankful for the “hot water”. In other words, the tests that God has set forth for me to go through. One would be surprised by the strength that they obtain when placed in hot water. So I encourage you to never doubt your strength! It’s something that we do often in today’s society. You hear people say “oh I never would have made it through that.” You would be surprised what you’re able to make it through. What doesn’t kill you, only makes you stronger. So keep sitting in that hot water and before you know it, you’ll come out the strongest tea bag around!
