When you’re trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, it can be difficult to keep healthy snacks on hand. Here’s a healthy snack (in moderation) for individuals who love nuts or pecans! This is a mixture of pecans with a kick and a little bite to it!
1 tbsp. butter (melted)
2 tbsps. Agave nectar
2 tsp. kosher salt
¼ tsp. ground cayenne pepper
½ tsp. ground black pepper (coarse)
1 cup of pecans
Turn oven to 375⁰F.
Coat pecans with butter.
In a separate bowl, mix the agave nectar, salt, cayenne pepper and ground pepper.
Toss the pecans into the agave nectar mixture.
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper then spread the pecans out on the paper.
Put the pecans in the oven for 10 minutes.
Remove the pecans from the sheet pan and place them in a bowl and allow the pecans to cool. This prevents the pecans from sticking to the parchment paper when they cool.
